I job shadow my barber here in Lindsay. I’ve been going to him for 8 years now had no problems or anything with him. Being a barber has always been one of my back up plans in life. I choose a barber because cutting hair is fun and you get to have a great time with people you and great conversations.
When I first showed up we talked and he was cutting someone's hair and I asked his all the questions I wanted to know. It wasn't a long day we spent together it was only about an hour but through that hour i learned a lot. He told me about the college I should attend and he highly recommends it. One thing I took to mind about what he said is that you have to have patients really good patients. That's the key to a good haircut taking your time and having patients.
My dislikes of this career is the rude people that come in that have no patience. The ones that just come in and have attitude and just are being rude and have no manners. As much as I like cutting hair I would just not be able to stand people being stuck up and all rude that way. Having regular customers showing up on a regular basis and having something to talk about all the time and having a good time that's what will make the job so much better.
Being a barber will be a great job to have meeting new people all the time but on the other hand its will I will always stick to my first option and come back to cutting hair. Being Chef has always been my dream kinda the same working habit with the people and having patience just to deal with all the different type of people you interact with. So yes I like to be barber someday but I could always come back to it later on in life if being a chef doesn’t happen.
